Principal's Message

April TK News

Dear TK Eagles Families,

Welcome back! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable Spring Break. As we move into the final stretch of the school year, we are excited to continue building on the strong learning and growth we have seen across our campus. Spring is always a busy and important time at Thomas Kelly, and we are looking forward to a positive and productive season together.

One important focus this month is state testing. Students in grades 3rd through 5th will be participating in the CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics. In addition, our 5th grade students will also take the California Science Test (CAST), which is part of the CAASPP assessment.

We encourage all families to support their students during this time by helping them be prepared each day. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time. Most importantly, remind them to stay confident and simply do their best. We are proud of their hard work and know they are ready to show what they have learned.

We would also like to ask for your continued support with pickup and drop off procedures in front of the school to ensure student safety and a smooth flow of traffic. When dropping off or picking up your child, please pull as far forward as possible before stopping. Students should exit or enter the vehicle on the curbside only. If you need to get out of your vehicle to assist your child, please park in a designated parking space or along the street rather than stopping in the drop off lane. Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe and keeps traffic moving efficiently.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. We are excited for all that lies ahead this spring and appreciate the strong community that makes Thomas Kelly such a special place.

Warm regards,
Josh Costa

Principal
